2026 ACRS Women in Road Safety Award

The ACRS Women in Road Safety Award, established in 2022, celebrates the outstanding contributions of women working to reduce road trauma anywhere in the world. This prestigious award recognises female leaders who are actively shaping road safety policy, research, practice, and community engagement.

Open exclusively to current ACRS members, the award highlights excellence in the following areas:

• Current impact: Demonstrated effectiveness in their current role in reducing road trauma.
• Track record: Active involvement in past road safety projects and initiatives.
• Leadership: Evidence of innovation, influence, and inspiration in the sector.
• Support for women: Commitment to encouraging and empowering other women in the road safety field.

Nominations must be submitted confidentially by two financial ACRS members, and nominees must also be financial members at the time of entry. The award is highly competitive and seeks to honour those who not only lead in their own work but also elevate others around them.

Award Criteria

This award is open to road safety professionals and advocates who are ACRS members. ACRS Fellows are not eligible for this award.

Nominees must:

• Demonstrate active involvement in road safety;
• Demonstrate active encouragement of women in road safety;
• Demonstrate leadership and contributions in the road safety field;
• Currently work in the field of road safety;
• Be a member of the ACRS.

Procedure for Nomination

• Nominations are to be made through the ACRS Women in Road Safety Award online form, and to be completed by two (2) current ACRS members.
