GENERAL INFORMATION


  1. Submission is due no later than Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 6:00PM. No extension will be made to this date or time..
  2. IDENTIFICATION of the Project, Design Team Members and Firm(s) are to be provided ONLY on the 'Submissions Form’ and ‘Entrant Form’ on Judgify. Please do not include any logos or identification on any other supporting documents including but not limited to project images/renderings, concept statements, and project scope.
  3. Project Designer must be an interior designer or architect with a professional license in the State of Florida and practice within the South Florida Chapter.
  4. The entrant is solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information provided.
  5. Entries are required to be submitted in English.
  6. Failure to submit all required materials and/or comply with instructions will result in disqualification of the project submitted for award consideration, in the design awards competition.
  7. Project Submissions become the property of the IIDA South Florida Chapter and may be used for publication and/or public relations purposes.
  8. Project Submissions (winners and non-winners) will not be returned. Submitting firms and/or individuals are encouraged to keep a duplicate set of all submission materials for their records.
  9. Projects may have been executed anywhere in the United States or abroad and must have been completed no earlier than January 1, 2023.
  10. All entries will be required to submit high resolution images of their project and agree to those images being featured on our IIDA South Florida Chapter website (www.iidasfc.org), our social media platforms, and at the event.
  11. No renderings will be accepted, except for Commissioned and Student categories.
  12. The firm must review the photograph ownership/use agreement with their photographer and include credit requirements, etc.
  13. Entry fee is $325.00 for the first submission. Entrant must have at least one IIDA membership in order to submit. Non-member entries will NOT be accepted. Please include your IIDA Membership number on your submission. The submission fee for the Initial Entry will include one (1) complimentary ticket to the event. Each additional submission after the first submission fee will be a fee of $150.00 for members and does NOT include a ticket. The the ticket provided with the first submission is only for one person to represent the submitting team. Additional tickets may be purchased separately.
  14. Student Project submission fee is free and will include one (1) complimentary ticket. Non-member entries will NOT be accepted. Student Submission will be submitted to approval. Ticket is only for one person. Additional tickets may be purchased separately.

AWARDS AND RECOGNITION


The BRAGG Awards Gala is IIDA South Florida Chapter's highest honor for displaying Design Excellence.

Proposed Categories to be awarded : 

  • Workplace Large Project – Greater than 50,000 SF
  • Workplace Medium Project – 10,000 SF to 50,000 SF
  • Workplace Small Project – Under 10,000 SF
  • Workplace Commissioned – Corporate projects on the boards, not yet completed (renderings accepted)
  • Healthcare Small Project – Less than 20,000 SF
  • Healthcare Large Project – 20,000 SF or greater
  • Healthcare Commissioned – Healthcare projects on the boards, not yet completed (renderings accepted)
  • Hospitality Luxury/Lifestyle Amenities Project – Spas, Health Club, Fitness Centers, etc. and at least one guest room in (1) submission.
  • Hospitality Select/Full-Service Amenities Project – Spas, Health Club, Fitness Centers, etc. and at least one guest room in (1) submission.
  • Hospitality Luxury/Lifestyle Lodging Project – Guestrooms, Suites, Accommodations, etc.
  • Hospitality Select/Full-Service Lodging Project – Guestrooms, Suites, Accommodations, etc.
  • Hospitality Commissioned – Hospitality projects on the boards, not yet completed (renderings accepted)
  • Residential Single-Family Project
  • Residential Multi Family Project
  • Residential Commissioned – Residential projects on the boards, not yet completed (renderings accepted)
  • Cruise Ship Project (Stateroom) – Guestrooms, Suites, Accommodations, etc.
  • Cruise Ship Project (Public Spaces/Amenities) – Lobby, Cafes, Dining Halls, Spas, Fitness Center, Promenade, Theaters, etc. All amenities in the project are to be submitted in (1) submission.
  • Cruise Ship Commissioned – Projects on the Boards, not yet completed (renders accepted)
  • Fine Dining Project – Restaurants, Bars, Breweries, Bakeries, Food courts, Cafeterias, etc.
  • Casual Dining Project – Restaurants, Bars, Breweries, Bakeries, Food courts, Cafeterias, etc.
  • Dining Commissioned – Project on the boards, not yet completed (Renderings accepted)
  • Retail Project – Specialty, Boutique + Branch Stores, Department Stores, Food Retail/Convenience Stores, Showrooms, etc.
  • Retail Commissioned – Project on the boards, not yet completed (Renderings accepted)
  • Education Project – Pre-school, Elementary, Secondary + Higher Educational Facilities, Colleges, Universities, Labs, and Libraries
  • Educational Commissioned – Project on the boards, not yet completed (Renderings accepted)
  • Private/Public Entertainment – Convention/Civic Center, Arenas, Stadiums, Cultural Center, Casinos, Museums, and Aquariums
  • Private/Public Institutional – Government/Municipal, Legislative, Judicial + Correctional Facilities, Law Enforcement, Fire Stations, and Religious + Worship Centers
  • Private/Public Transportation – Aviation, Cruise, Train (terminals, stations, hubs, centers and related facilities)
  • Private/Public Commissioned – Projects on the Boards, not yet completed (renders accepted)
  • Non-Profit Project – Meant to honor an exceptional project in the non-profit market due to we, as designers, would like to be inclusive and raise awareness to the great work produced both for profit and not for profit organizations.
  • Student Scholarship Project – Senior Project or Thesis Only (renderings accepted – please visit the IIDA SFC website for other student scholarship opportunities)
  • CATEGORIES ALL PROJECTS MAY BE CONSIDERED FOR (no additional submission required)
    • Best Sustainable Design – A project that demonstrates a high level of sustainability/resiliency.
    • Best Exemplary JEDI Design – A project showing positive impact in Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the community. This is an optional addition to each project submission and is not required for submission. If applicable, tell the story of the initiatives and/or actions that incorporate these elements. This will not impact your scoring for your project submission and will be reviewed as a separate category by the judges.
    • Project of the Year – Awarded from the best of all categories. Commissioned and Student are not eligible.

  • JURY


    A select jury of IIDA members and allied professionals, outside the state of Florida, representing a balance of design background and experience, will judge the entries and select winners based on established criteria for each Forum. Judges have discretion over appropriate categories for project placement and their decisions are final. All submitted professional projects from all categories are identified confidentially for the judges review to vote.

    ***Note: The Jurors reserve the right to re-assign projects to another category or assign a new category.
    The Jurors reserve the right not to award any of the categories outlined above.

    4. Include all manufacturers specified in the project to celebrate their efforts as well! 

    Electronic Information on Judgify:

    Please submit Concealed Information Form, Publicity & Photography Release, payment, high-resolution images, and all supporting documents as required through Judgify. Please note your submission MUST be completed in its entirety or it will not be accepted.

    In preparation of IIDA South Florida Chapter’s Design excellence Awards: The BRAGG Awards, IIDA South Florida extends a form to the community to nominate active IIDA members that have displayed exemplary service for the interior design community and the interior design profession. Nominate your peers and recognize them for their efforts and passion!
