The Duckies are back.

Organized by Blue Duck Media, the Duckies are the sports media awards celebrating the people who actually make the great stuff happen - the producers, editors, social teams, rising stars, problem-solvers, glue people and behind-the-scenes MVPs who don't always get the credit they deserve. 

This isn't about honoring the same big names you see at every industry awards show. The Duckies are for the people behind the content - the ones making it better, keeping the production moving, fixing the thing that broke five minutes before air, and somehow making everyone else look good in the process. 

This year's categories include the Human Advil, Iron Duck, Jenga Award, Best Social Editor, Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player, and Most Likely to Be Your Boss One Day, along wtih awards recognizing some of the best work being produced across sports media. 

Basically, if you know someone doing great work in sports media, there's probably a Duckie for them. 

Entries

Early Bird entries are $125 through October 16. Beginning October 17, entries increase to $200, with a final submission deadline of November 6.

And if you're reading this after November 6 and submissions are somehow still open, don't ask questions. Just submit. 

Then we'll bring the industry together in Los Angeles February 9th for the 2027 Duckies Awards - the least prestigious night in our industry, and a chance to celebrate the people doing some of it's best work. 

Good people. Drinks. Duckies. No three-hour parade of executives congratulating each other. 

Great work deserves some recognition. Even if your boss forgot to give it to you.
