Missouri EMS Association Annual Awards

Each year, the Missouri Emergency Medical Services Association (MEMSA) proudly recognizes excellence across the EMS community through its Annual Awards Program. These awards honor the individuals, teams, and organizations who demonstrate outstanding commitment to patient care, innovation, leadership, and service to their communities.

From first patient contact through definitive care, award recipients represent the very best of Missouri EMS. Nominations are accepted for contributions made across the full spectrum of emergency medical services, including prehospital care, emergency department collaboration, interfacility transportation, and Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) programs. Whether it’s a life-saving clinical decision, a program that improves system efficiency, or a professional who consistently goes above and beyond, MEMSA seeks to highlight those making a meaningful impact.

Nomination Process

MEMSA welcomes nominations from across the state. Anyone may submit a nomination unless otherwise specified within a category. This inclusive approach ensures that peers, leaders, and community members all have the opportunity to recognize excellence in EMS.

• Nomination Window: May 1 – May 31 (annually)
• Submission Platform: Online via MEMSA’s awards portal
• Eligible Nominees: Individuals, teams, and organizations contributing to EMS in Missouri

All nominations submitted within the designated timeframe will be reviewed and considered for that year’s awards.

Selection & Recognition

Nominations are carefully evaluated based on merit, impact, and alignment with the values of high-quality patient care and system improvement. Award recipients are selected to represent excellence in clinical performance, leadership, education, innovation, and service.

Winners are formally recognized on Wednesday August 12th, 2026 at the MEMSA Annual Membership Meeting, held during the Missouri EMS Conference & Expo—a premier gathering of EMS professionals from across the state. This event provides a meaningful opportunity to celebrate achievements, share success stories, and recognize those who elevate the profession.

Eligibility Guidelines

To ensure fairness and broad recognition:

• An individual or agency may not receive the same award more than once within a three-year period
• The MEMSA Board of Directors reserves the right to determine eligibility and final award decisions
• Additional category-specific criteria may apply
